The Temple of Zeus Chthonios was the ancient Greek temple in worship of Zeus, located atop the hills of Kranioi in Kephallonia. By the 5th century BCE, naught remained of the temple but ruins, occupied by a pack of wolves.

In 431 BCE, the ruins were visited by the Spartan misthios, Kassandra, who eliminated the wolves and claimed the valuables in the area.[1]
