The Temple of Hatshepsut was an ancient funerary shrine commisoned for the pharaoh Hatshepsut located in the Theban Necropolis in Upper Egypt.
In 38 BCE, the Hidden One Bayek of Siwa traveled to the temple, following the trails of a relic auctioned on an island near Thebes. There, he found Irsu, a heavily wounded merchant captured by Egyptian soldiers. Before dying from his wounds, the merchant directed Bayek west to Set-Ma'at where his nephew had taken the relic.[1]
Sometime later, Bayek returned to the temple, this time to recovering a speck of dust from an Amun statue, needed to bring summon the spirit of the pharaoh Akhenaten and bring him to rest.[2]
