Biography
Suzanna was working as a prostitute in northern Ventre de Paris during the French Revolution. One of her clients, the Marquis de Sade, used his own equipment during their affairs. Although warned by her fellow co-workers, Suzanne continued her meetings with the marquis and even considered a friend that he recommended. Unknown to her, de Sade's valet Olivier was disdainful of his employer and his friends because he found their sexual acts abhorrent.[1]
One night at a brothel, Olivier met Suzanna and brought along replicas of de Sade's instruments with which he attacked her, binding her and set up the scene to make it appear as though the marquis was the culprit.
