Steven Masters.

Steven Masters is currently the Lead Game Designer on Assassins Creed III at Ubisoft Montreal.

Biography

Masters started in the games industry as a tester with Simis Limited between May 1997 and November 1998, where he tested five products, such as Team Apache. Later, when the company became a part of Kuju Entertainment, he moved on, where he tested five more games, became a Games Designer on Halcyon Sun, a Level Designer on Peacemaker: Protect, Search & Destroy and Ka-52 Team Alligator, along with a Lead Game Designer on Fireblade and a Lead Multiplayer Designer on Warhammer 40,000: Fire Warrior'. He has also been credited with design on Terror Strike, although he had already left the company before it was released. During this time, Masters was with Kuju between November 1998 and April 2005.

After starting off in the games industry of the United Kingdom, Steven traveled to Canada in 2005 to join Ubisoft Montreal, where he worked on Rainbow Six: Vegas as an AI designer. After releasing the multi-award winning title, he joined the Assassins Creed team, this time specializing in the Action Loop. After completing that project, Masters decided to take a brief leave of absence, but returned to help debug and polish Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 during the closing stages of its development.

Following this, he became the Lead Game Designer on Splinter Cell Conviction, helping to manage a team of designers to deliver the game. After that, he rejoined the Assassin's Creed team in 2010, in order to deliver Assassins Creed: Brotherhood as the Lead Game Designer.
