Shishi Guard

The Shishi Guard was a type of light shield hailing from China that featured a guardian lion on the front.

In the late 9th century, the Viking shieldmaiden Eivor Varinsdottir of the Raven Clan acquired this shield at Cyne Belle Castle, Oxenefordscire.[1]
