Eivor wielding the Rus' Shield

The Rus' Shield was a type of light shield that the Viking jarlskona Eivor Varinsdottir of the Raven Clan acquired at Azar's market in late 9th century Dublin, Ireland.

Throughout her journey in Ireland, Eivor helped Azar in building Dublin to be the trade epicenter of Ireland. Upon building up Dublin, Eivor obtained items around Ireland and its trade posts, such as pieces of clothing, delicacies, and luxuries. In one of Azar's trade contracts, Varangian chieftain Rurik of the Rus' recently united feuding clans and wanted to set a course for prosperity, with the aid from Dublin. After trading 80 pieces of clothing, 45 delicacies, and 30 luxuries, Eivor garnered affluence for Dublin from the Rus' and obtained trading post supplies and the Rus' Shield.[1]
