Romulus Augustus (c. 461 – c. 507), also known as Romulus Augustulus, was the Emperor of the Western Roman Empire from 475 to 476.

A ruler of disputed legitimacy, he was deposed by the general Odoacer in 476, marking the end of the Western Roman Empire. Romulus Augustus was subsequently exiled to a fortified villa in Naples, which later became the Castel dell'Ovo.
