Richmond (died 2018) was an agent of the Instruments of the First Will who kidnapped the Sage Elijah and killed Elijah's mother in 2015.

Elijah later escaped captivity and killed Richmond with a screwdriver in revenge.

History

In late 2015, Violet da Costa ordered Richmond to kidnap the Sage Elijah for their Isu deity Juno. Breaking into their home, Richmond stabbed Elijah's mother to death in the kitchen, before securing the sleeping boy in his bedroom. Brought back to the Instruments, Elijah was then told of his true nature and potential, with Richmond being tasked to take care of him. However, Richmond and the other Instruments were unaware that Elijah had overheard his mother's murder and would plan his vendetta against Richmond and the entire organiation.

In August 2018, Richmond was stationed at the Phoenix Project labratory in Australia as the personal bodyguard and "caretaker" of the young Elijah. After the boy's operation, he brought Elijah back to his room, eagerly awaiting the resurrection of their savior and divine entity, Juno. However, this moment was short-lived. During a routine check-up on Elijah, the boy locked both Richmond and himself inside the room. While tending to the door, Elijah stabbed Richmond in the neck with a screwdriver and told the dying Richmond that Juno held no love for him or any other human and that he had been waiting for Juno to obtain a physical form so that he could kill her himself.

Personality

Although deeply devoted to the Instruments of the First Will, Richmond was not entirely heartless. He felt some remorse for taking the life of Elijah's mother and often looked out for the boy, acting as his personal "nurse" by pushing him around in a wheelchair after his operation. He frequently checked on Elijah to ensure he was doing well and, for the boy's safety, warned him when he spoke out of turn or became agitated. Despite spending time with Elijah, Richmond never realized that the boy held a vendetta against him and the entire organization, which ultimately led to his downfall.
