Unbeknownst to them, the [[Assassins|Assassin]] [[Evie Frye]] had infiltrated the lab and promptly struck down Brewster. The Apple then overloaded due to the electricity that had been pumped into it, and the lab was completely destroyed in the resulting explosion.
