The Priest House was a building on the western side of the Akropolis Sanctuary in Athens, Greece.
Located near the Propylea, the priest house was used by the priests on the specific days of the religious calendar to perform rituals. Given the house's sacred nature, the priests had to purify themselves before entering.[1]
During the Peloponnesian War, the Spartan misthios Kassandra infiltrated the priest house of the Akropolis at the suggestion of the philosopher Sokrates, to find something to incriminate the statesman Kleon.[2]
