Port la Joye

Port la Joye was one of three French strongholds in the North Atlantic at the time of the mid-18th century. Through these forts, the French exerted their control over the region. Port la Joye itself was located on the southern coast of Prince Edward Island.

The Assassins Shay Cormac, Liam O'Brien meet with Chevalier de la Verendrye in Port la Joye regarding the clues in tracking down the Voynich Manuscript and the Precursor Box where they sailed to Anticosti to meet with Le Chasseur, an ally to the Brotherhood who had a lead on the two artifacts.

During the French and Indian War, the Templar Shay Cormac and two British schooners attacked the fortress, using his ship, the Morrigan, to destroy its defenses, before infiltrating it on foot. He then killed the fort's captain, thus claiming the stronghold for the Royal Navy.
