Antonio is the leader of the thieves faction in Assassin's Creed II.He is essentially an Italian Robinhood. His "HQ" is located in the commercial district of Venice. He lived an honest life with his poor family composed of his father, a cobbler, and her mother a maid for an upper-class family. He wanted to be richer, but no matter how hard he studied the schools would not accept him, no matter how hard he worked he could not get out of his miserable situation. So he decided to steal if he really wanted something because hard labour was not enough, and you could become a person in the underground regardless where you came from. He and his men steal from the immoral Venetian noblemen, not ordinary citizens. He consider his guild as a business and his clan is more than just a little bunch of bandits. He and Ezio will help each other against the corrupted men of Venice.
It is revealed later on in the game that Antonio is a member of the Assassins and appears to help Ezio fight Rodrigo Borgia and his guards.
