Animus Project Update 2.0 is the second downloadable content pack for Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, focusing on the game's multiplayer mode. It is free, and became available on January 19, 2011. It includes a new multiplayer map, the hill-top village Pienza, and a new multiplayer mode, Chest Capture. Chest Capture is a variation on the Capture the Flag mode, where you will be tasked with stealing treasure chests from opposing teams, and protecting your own. One team is the hunters and the other is the hunted. The hunted must stand near chests to get points, while the hunters must kill the hunted to get points based on the quality of the assassination.

Trivia

  • The addition of a second multiplayer DLC included DLC restrictions, allowing only one of the two free DLC packs to be switched on. Due to this feature, Chest Capture cannot be played in Mont Saint-Michel.
