Nakayama Peak was a sub region of northwestern Izumi Settsu in Japan during the Sengoku period, sharing the border with Harima Province to the west.
In 1582, the Iga kunoichi Fujibayashi Naoe traveled to the Nunobiki Falls at the mountain footsteps to locate Mitsumune, a member of the Ikkō-ikki and ally of Kyonyo, to seek his aid against Wada Koretake.[1]
