Laran is the god of war in Etruscan mythology. His Greek equivalent is Ares and his Roman equivalent is Mars.[1] A temple dedicated to him was erected in the swamps north of Rome, in the banks of the Tiber.[2] It set atop an Isu vault that once housed Excalibur as well as the Prize of the Versipellis.[3] In 1504, the Italian Brotherhood of Assassins located the ruins of another temple dedicated to Laran outside of Rome and recovered a Memory Seal buried there.[4]
