Kublai Khan was the grandson of Genghis Khan, whom Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad suspected possessed an unknown Piece of Eden.

He is only mentioned in a conversation between Desmond Miles and Shaun Hastings, and in Domenico Auditore's biography, where it is stated that Marco Polo met him while visiting the Court of Genghis Khan, where he retrieved Altaïr's Codex.
