Rev. Col. John Hancock Sr. (1 March 1671 – 6 December 1752) was a clergyman, soldier, planter, politician, and paternal grandfather of American politician John Hancock.

In 1737, he built a residence in Lexington that later came to be called the Hancock-Clarke House.[1]
