Jibade assassinated by Bayek

Jibade (died c. 38 BCE) was an Egyptian who served under Roman general Gaius Julius Rufio during the reign of Cleopatra.

Biography

As one of the captains of Rufio's army in Egypt, Jibade was tasked with using his political influence to expand the ranks of their army, being stationed at Pissa Oros Citadel. Rufio ordered the delivery of several carts filled with luxurious goods to be used as bribes, the destinations of which he left up to Jibade. At Pissa Oros, Jibade encountered some resistance, as the fort commander was unwilling to join him. He decided to impose a siege and starve them out, waiting for more soldiers to arrive and outnumber the commander. When Bayek of Siwa discovered Rufio's plans through a letter he recovered from Saragina Camp, he destroyed the carts before travelling to Pissa Oros and assassinating Jibade.[1]
