Iguanas are herbivorous lizards found in Texas, Hawaii, Florida, Mexico, Central America, Brazil and the Caribbean.
The most common iguana is the green iguana, which primarily feeds on leaves, flowers and fruits. Although it typically flees when threatened, it can puff its body and hiss or lash its tail and bite.[1]
During the early 18th century, the pirate Edward Kenway hunted iguanas for their hides. In 1715, he killed and skinned two of them on Abaco Island to craft leather bracers.[1] After becoming an Assassin, Edward's quartermaster Adéwalé also hunted iguanas.[2]
