The Henderson was a trading frigate in service to the Thirteen Colonies.
In 1773, it was attacked by British privateers en route to Florida. The Aquila, captained by the Assassin Connor, came to its rescue and destroyed the British privateers, ensuring the vessel's safety.[1]
