The Helmet of Ares was a helmet made and worn in the 5th century BCE Greece. It was a part of a set of armor inspired by and dedicated to the Greek god of war, Ares.
Korinthian in style, and favored by the Spartans, the helmet was simple in design, though still remarkable. The only apparent adornment was the inscription "ΜΟΛΩΝ ΛΑΒΕ" over its horizontal crest.[1]

Behind the scenes[edit | edit source]
The Helmet of Ares, a helmet in Assassin's Creed: Odyssey, shares the same model as a number of other similar helmets in the same game, including Lysander's Helmet. In addition, the legendary Spartan War Hero Helmet shares the model, but is distinct in colorisation from the two variants of the Helmet of Ares.
