Alligators are a species of reptilians native to the lower regions of the United States and China. They are closely related to crocodiles. American alligators can be found throughout the Louisiana Bayou and are very territorial, becoming aggressive when they feel threatened.

American Revolution
During the latter half of the 18th century, the Louisianan Assassin Aveline de Grandpré collected American alligator eggs scattered throughout the Bayou.[2]
