Aveline wrestling with an American alligator

Alligators are a species of reptilians native to the lower regions of the United States and China. They are closely related to crocodiles. American alligators can be found throughout the Louisiana Bayou and are very territorial, becoming aggressive when they feel threatened.

History

Golden Age of Piracy

While operating in Asia in 1725, the British Assassin Edward Kenway hunted and killed two Chinese alligators for a village in southern Macau. Kenway gifted the alligators as a gesture of appreciation for the villagers' hospitality in hosting him and his friend John Young after they fled from attacking Shimazu clan ninja.[1]

American Revolution

During the latter half of the 18th century, the Louisianan Assassin Aveline de Grandpré collected American alligator eggs scattered throughout the Bayou.[2]
