Alfred Fleming was the chief of Queen Victoria's secret service, a group which covertly guarded Her Majesty. In 1868, he participated in several special operations to protect the Queen and the people of London from a Templar terrorist faction, during which he was assisted by the Assassins Jacob and Evie Frye.
Biography[edit | edit source]
In 1868, Fleming met Jacob and Evie at the London docks and informed them of a Templar ship carrying dynamite that would arrive shortly. He also revealed that he had placed his agents, who were disguised as civilians, around the area, and instructed the twins to use them to set up an ambush. With the help of Fleming's agents, the Assassins successfully eliminated the Templars and captured their leader. Fleming then had his men secure the explosives and took the Templar leader away to be interrogated.[1]
After several failed attempts to interrogate the Templar, Fleming called upon Jacob and Evie's help to extract information out of him. The Assassins beat up the Templar, who revealed that his accomplices had rigged a train with dynamite. While Fleming stayed to guard the Templar, the Frye twins left to save the train's passengers before the explosives were detonated.[2]
Later, the Templar leader managed to escape and, alongside his remaining accomplices, targeted the Palace of Westminster. Fleming discovered that the Templars had placed several bombers throughout the building before being met by Jacob and Evie, who had been sent by Queen Victoria to assist him. After the Assassins eliminated the bombers, they confronted the leader, who had taken Prime Minister Benjamin Disraeli hostage and revealed that he had planted hidden explosives throughout the palace. The Frye twins killed the Templar leader to save Disraeli and then disarmed the explosives, ending the threat.[3]
Trivia[edit | edit source]
- Given that he worked in the secret service, Alfred Fleming's name is likely a reference of Ian Fleming, the author of the James Bond novels.
