Gobbins is a beach in Islandmagee, within County Antrim in Northern Ireland. During the medieval period, it was part of the geographical region and kingdom of Ulster.

Between 879 and 882, the Viking Eivor Varinsdottir travelled to Gobbins in search of the deed to the Ardmel trading outpost, having a clue from a camp outside the ringfort. Eivor dived down into the sea from the beach, recovering a key to a cage which contained a skeleton, enabling Eivor to recover the deed to the trading post.[1]
