France was a prominent country situated in Western Europe, and shares a border with both northern Italy and northeastern Spain.
History
Renaissance
During the Renaissance, France was ruled by King Louis XII from his capital in Paris. At the same time, apprentices from the Roman Assassins Guild were sent by Ezio Auditore da Firenze to Paris for several important assassination contracts. By the year 1500, Louis XII had allied himself with Cesare Borgia and was aiding him in his bid to conquer Italy.[1]
Twenty years later, Giovanni Borgia and Maria Amiel travelled to Paris to obtain a portion of the Book. They also travelled to Troyes, where the Templars were officially founded. There, Giovanni killed a Templar nicknamed "the Viper".[2]
