Flann Sinna (847/848 – 916) was the King of Meath from 877 and the High King of Ireland from 879 to 916.[1]

During the 9th century, the Viking shieldmaiden Eivor Varinsdottir of the Raven Clan journeyed to Ireland and met the king.[2]
