Eivor challenging "Fergal"

Fergal, also known as Fergal the Faceless, was an identity of a flyter concocted by three residents of Grantebridge, England during the 9th century.

During the 870s, the Viking shieldmaiden Eivor Varinsdottir encountered the three residents who dared her to enter the house and challenge Fergal to a flyting challenge. Eivor won the challenge, with "Fergal" running away when he could not think of a finishing blow.[1]
