Faustinus whilst being interrogated

Faustinus (unknown - 259) was the bishop of Lugdunum during the mid 3rd century.

In 259, Faustinus had betrayed his friend Lucius, an Assassin, by revealing information about Aquilus to his associates. Not too soon afterwards, Faustinus was interrogated by Aquilus about his affiliations, until Faustinus revealed the name of his associate to be Caius Fulvus Vultur, a member of the Templar Order. Faustinus hit the surprised Aquilus, giving him an opportunity to flee, but he was fatally struck in his back by Aquilus' throwing knife.
