Eudemus of Rhodes (c. 370 BCE - c. 300 BCE) was an ancient Greek philosopher who was considered the first historian of science.
During his time, Eudemus wrote various histories, such as History of Arithmetics and History of Geometry. During the 1st century BCE, the content of the histories were inscribed on papyrus in Egypt and were used to educate young geographers in the Library of Alexandria.
