Erudito sent an email to Desmond with the message Stay in the loop, and the passwords to the accounts of his Assassin friends. This displayed the mysterious skills of Erudito, as the Templars seemed unaware that the Assassins used the Hephaestus Email Network for their communications, yet he knew of and hacked into the system in order to make sure Desmond knew more about his situation.
Project Legacy
Erudito had been aware of the project labeled Project Legacy since before the player began their activities for Abstergo. He had been attempting to warn the people taking part in the project about the true meaning of their work for the company, and occasionally left extra missions for the Abstergo Employee to accomplish.

Erudito had shown his advanced capabilities with computers, in that he was able to hack into the DDS to leave messages and unlocked previously blocked memories. He appeared to be against the Templars, showing knowledge of their illicit activities, advising the Abstergo Employee to 'fly under the radar' and speaking derisively when they chose answers to quizzes which appeared supportive of Abstergo.
Several of Erudito's e-mails included dissuading the recruits from submitting their genealogies to Abstergo - which could potentially result in the recruit having their memories farmed for the DDS Program - and reminding them not to draw too much attention to themselves by acting confident.

The puzzle was having to realise that the binary code was a secret link to extra information. By adding the binary to the end of the url, and by using the user's unique code, they may access the Abstergo company email inbox. There were several sections within the inbox which could not be accessed except with a higher security level such as BETA 3+. This suggested that there would be more events to occur.

―Erudito to an Abstergo recruit.[src]

Erudito was an individual who was aware of Abstergo Industries' secret activities, and strove to make such secrets, as well as their true intentions, known.[1]

Erudito commonly made use of E-mails to spread such information, and has notably come into contact with Desmond Miles, and the participants in Abstergo's DDS Program.[1][2][2]

Biography

DDS Program

"...you must understand that contact with this "Erudito" user will not be tolerated."
―Abstergo to one of its DDS recruits[src]

In an attempt to educate and protect the recruits participating in Abstergo's DDS Program, Erudito hacked into the DDS itself, and began communicating with its users through e-mail. He also opened up several memories that were previously unavailable to them, most of which contained valuable information on the Assassins, and on Pieces of Eden such as the Shroud.[1]

Several of Erudito's e-mails included dissuading the recruits from submitting their genealogies to Abstergo - which could potentially result in the recruit having their memories farmed for the DDS Program - and reminding them not to draw too much attention to themselves by acting confident.[1]

Over time, Erudito's interference was detected by Abstergo, and an email survey (with a subject line reading "INTRUDER") was sent to all DDS participants, asking them what they knew of Erudito. Any recruit who feigned ignorance received an e-mail from Erudito that simply read ":)".[1]

Alternatively, those recruits who offered to submit a full report on Erudito received a message from Abstergo mentioning that "If we can track his patterns, we can begin to block his access to the DDS system and continue our work without further interruptions." This is followed closely by an e-mail from Erudito himself, reading "You reported me? That stings. Not that it really matters... I am miles ahead of these goons. I'm going to have to work harder to open your eyes, aren't I?"[1]

Assassin Teams

"Make sure you stay in the loop."
―Erudito's advice for Desmond.[src]

On September 22, 2012, Erudito sent an e-mail to Desmond Miles through the Hephaestus Email Network, in order to inform him of the e-mail passwords of the other Assassins within his team. The message included a request for him to "stay in the loop," and keep himself educated in the exchanges between Lucy Stillman, Shaun Hastings, and Rebecca Crane.[2]

By adding the binary to the end of the URL, and by using the user's unique code, they were able to access the Abstergo company email inbox. There were several sections within the inbox that could not be accessed except with a higher security level.

Datadumpscanner

From time to time, Erudito would also hack into the datadumpscanner, a data feed on Twitter, so as to interact with the users. The times Erudito have interacted through this method include Friday, October 15, 2010; Friday, October 29, 2010; Friday, November 12, 2010; Friday, December 03, 2010; and Monday, December 17.

Trivia

 • "Erudito" is Italian for "scholar" or "learned one," which is appropriate considering how much information he has gathered on Abstergo.
 • When rearranged, the letters ERUDITO spell out UDITORE (Italian for "auditor").
 • When you "like" Gamestop on Facebook, you get an item called Erudito's Network for Assassin's Creed: Project Legacy, which gives you a higher probability to receive XP, Florins or chance items.
