Erudito was an individual who was aware of Abstergo Industries' secret activities. He had been watching the progress of the Abstergo recruits who were put in the Animus to find out about the locations of Pieces of Eden via their ancestors' memories. One of those recruits made more progress than the others and Erudito sent a message to this recruit, asking how it is he progressed faster than the others and telling him that Abstergo was surely watching his actions.
