Erbistock was a fairly large Anglo-Saxon farmstead along the River Dee east of Fry's Island. It featured several buildings surrounded by numerous fields. In the 9th century, it was raided multiple times by Viking shieldmaiden Eivor Varinsdottir of the Raven Clan, Vagn, and their raiding crew on his longship.[1]
