Elsa Sjunneson (born 1985) is an American speculative fiction writer, editor, media critic, and disability rights activist. She was the writer for Aconyte Books' published novel, Sword of the White Horse.
Biography
Early life
Sjunneson was born in 1985 with congenital rubella syndrome, which resulted in her having hearing loss, cataracts in both eyes, and a heart defect. Designated as legally blind, Sjunneson requires the use of a prosthetic eye and bilateral hearing aids.[1]
In 2008, she graduated from Gonzaga University, with a bachelor's degree in history. While there, she worked to raise awareness for FACE AIDS. In 2011, she earned a master's degree in women's history from Sarah Lawrence College.[1]

In October 2021, Ubisoft announced several new novels, among them was the Assassin's Creed: Valhalla video game tie-in novel, Sword of the White Horse, taking place directly after the events of the game and before its first DLC, Wrath of the Druids. Elsa Sjunneson was announced as the author, and together with editor Gwendolyn Nix, were interviewed together in the Assassin's Creed Stories livestream event by Daniel St. Germain.[4]
