The Doon Fort

The Doon Fort was a druid base in an inlet's megalithic structure, in western Ulster, Ireland. Between 879 and 882, Doon Fort was used by the cult known as the Children of Danu.

History

In the late 9th century, the Viking jarlskona Eivor Varinsdottir of the Raven Clan traveled to the Doon Fort after recovering all the clues about the Children of Danu member known as "The Mist". From her investigation, Eivor deduced The Mist to be a High Druid named Trian, who worked from Doon Fort as a recruiter for the cult. Within the druid's base, Eivor saw and then assassinated Trian, ending his role for the Children of Danu. From Trian's personal effects, Eivor recovered his amber shard.[1] Through her travels in Ulster, Eivor also retrieved the Druidic Cloak from a treasure chest at the druid ritual site.[2]
