Biography

Novara was the mentor of fellow astronomer Nicolaus Copernicus. During the early 16th century, Novara and his student came close to a scientific breakthrough that could threaten the Templar-controlled Papacy. In an attempt to stop them, Cesare Borgia sent a crossbowman to kill them.[1]

However, the Assassins Francesco Vecellio and Cipriano Enu were able to eliminate the crossbowman. Vecellio then left some of his men to protect Novara from further interference.[1]
