Defamation was a virtual representation of one of Jacob Frye and Evie Frye's genetic memories, relived by a Helix initiate through the Helix Navigator.
Description
A Frye twin delivered a newspaper to the biologist Charles Darwin.
Dialogue
One of the Frye twins visited Charles Darwin.
- Darwin: My young friend! Today's papers carry a rebuttal of Mr. Owen's slanderous and ignorant remarks about my work. However, I'm feeling quite like a fossil today. Would you be a dear and get me a copy of the newspaper?
Jacob or Evie headed to the street vendor who was harassed by a Blighters thug.
- Vendor: Take whatever you want! Help me!
The twins would react differently:
- Jacob: Hey! you!
- Evie: Stop that!
Chasing the aggressor through the streets, the Assassin was forced to locate him in the crowd using his or her Eagle Vision to chase him again. Jacob or Evie eventually tackled the thug and save him from an oncoming train.
- Thug: You... You saved my life!
The twins would have different responses:
- Jacob: Yes. Now here's a question for you: Why would you attack a newsboy?
- Evie: Correct... Now tell me: why have you attacked the newsboy?
Grateful to his savior, the thug told the Assassin of his objective in harassing the vendor.
- Thug: A man paid me and my mates to force newsboys to display this leaflet! Here! Take the bloody thing and leave me alone!
Again, the twins' dialogue would differ slightly:
- Jacob: This spells trouble for Mr. Darwin.
- Evie: Mr. Darwin will want to hear about this...
Outcome
The Frye twin discovered that there were people handing out information for an anti-Darwin propaganda.
