Deebury was an Anglo-Saxon military settlement build along the River Dee north of Fry's Island and south of Goodwinlec. In the 9th century, it was raided multiple times by Viking shieldmaiden Eivor Varinsdottir of the Raven Clan, Vagn, and their raiding crew on his longship.[1]
