Found from Brazil to northern Mexico as well as the Caribbean islands. Also Texas, Florida and Hawaii. This common iguana eats only leaves, flowers and fruits. The iguana typically flees when threatened, but can puff its body and hiss or lash its tail and bite if threatened.
