Cuba is a country and the largest island in the Caribbean, whose capital and largest commercial city is Havana.
It is located to the south of the United States and the Bahamas, to the east of Mexico, to the north of Jamaica and the Cayman Islands, and to the west of Haiti.
Cuba was also protected by four navalforts located around the entire shoreline of the island, and was also home to the plantation at Matanzas on the northern coast and the town of Arroyos on the southern. During the Golden Age of Piracy, Cuba and the rest of the Caribbean were frequently visited and inhabited by pirates. The pirate-turned-Assassin Edward Kenway visited Cuba several times using his ship, the Jackdaw.
