The Animi's graphical representation of the Commander.

The Commander (real name: Matthew Davenport) was an Animi Avatar used by the entertainment branch of Abstergo Industries, as part of their plan to influence the general public, via the console stage of the Animus technology.

Unique Moves

(Low Profile, Front)

The Commander walks up to his target, pulls out his sabre, and strikes them in the forehead with its hilt. He then takes advantage of their defenselessness by piercing his victim's stomach with his sword and withdrawing it quickly, watching them crumple to the floor, dead.

(Low Profile, Back)

Approaching his target from behind with his sabre drawn, the Commander swiftly slashes it diagonally across their spine. As they react, he spins the blade skillfully in his hand and cleanly stabs them up through the back, impaling his victim's heart from behind and causing them to collapse to the floor, where they die of blood loss as he sheathes away his sword.

(High Profile, Front)

Rushing towards his target, the Commander pulls out his sabre and slashes them across the stomach in one fluid motion, which causes them to kneel forward from the sudden pain. Using this to his advantage, the Commander embeds his sword downwards into his victim's throat and rips it back out, causing them to fall forward and choke on their own blood.

(High Profile, Back)

The Commander runs at his target from behind and withdraws his sabre, before cruelly slashing it across their upper back. As they react to the unexpected attack, the Commander hacks his sword into the right of his victim's chest, slashing through their lung from behind and wedging his weapon in their torso. To free his blade, the Commander kicks their legs out from underneath them, forcing them onto their back while he sheathes away his sword.

(Aerial Kill)

The Commander leaps onto his target from above, unsheathing his sword in mid-air. When he lands, he forces them down to the floor and impales them in their heart with his sword, before he stands and leaves his victim laying dead on the floor.

(Bench Kill)

The Commabder grabs his seated target's foot and drags them off the bench, until their head rests against it. Before they can do anything to defend themselves, the Commander forcefully kicks them in the face, violently sending their head backwards and breaking his victim's neck on the bench behind them.

Trivia

• The Commander shares either the same High Profile, Back animation with the Privateer or that of a basic sword, as well as a similar move to the Deacon for his High Profile, Front kill move.
