Coeur-de-l'hiver was a small British community established in the north of the River Valley in New York.
The native Iroquois had once lived in the region but later abandoned it, leaving only traces of legends such as the Sky Woman painted in Coeur-de-l'hiver's cave. In the 18th century, the French constructed a small settlement in the area where the land achieved its name. The Assassins also sent their representatives and controlled the tavern as their base, however, the Templar Shay Cormac regained authority. After the Seven Years' War, Coeur-de-l'hiver fell to the hands of the British and Shay aided them by renovating the buildings.
Trivia
- Coeur-de-l'hiver is French for "Heart of Winter", a name appropriate for the area's taiga environment.
