I don't think Chiang himself was a member of the Green Gang, just allied with them. As for being a Templar ally, it seems to me that the Templars helped him w/o his asking & then he rejected their alliance, so I would rather leave out that category. / Never knew why he romanized his surname from Mandarin but given name from Cantonese.

Chiang Kai-shek (蔣介石; 1887 – 1975) was a Chinese political and military leader who served as the leader of the Republic of China between 1928 and 1975. Chiang was also an influential member of the Kuomintang, the Chinese Nationalist Party.

Biography

In 1927, due to the difficulties of the Shanghai Rite to ease the growing tensions in China, the other Rites decided to intervene. The Inner Sanctum of the Templar Order sent the Black Cross to take care of a Templar turncoat, Yuri Dolinsky, who was leading a Russian army to fight Chiang.[1]

Later, the young Darius Gift was sent to China by the British Rite to deliver a package to Chiang in hopes of convincing him to join the Templar Order like his predecessor Sun Yat-sen. However, Chiang betrayed the Templars, accepting their money and their help with no intention to join them, using them while planning to double-cross them with the help of Du Yuesheng and his Green Gang.[2]
