The Cauldron was one of seven legendary ships encountered by the Assassin-turned-Templar Shay Cormac in the North Atlantic, during the Seven Years' War. She was captained by William Crest.
The Cauldron and her sister ship, the Pilgrim were one of the few pirate vessels after the decline of the Golden Age of Piracy. She and her sister ship were defeated by the Royal Navy and Cormac's ship, the Morrigan in naval combat.
Trivia
- The Pilgrim and the Cauldron re-use the same models and strategies as the HMS Fearless and the Royal Sovereign from Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag with some modifications such as color scheme.
- The Pilgrim and the Cauldron are one of the few ships to have a defensive weapon on the stern: the burning oil.
- Compared to the Twins in Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, The Cauldron is the only ship that uses mortars as a long range attack much like La Dama Negra
- The Cauldron, along with her sister, (both level 75 Man-O-Wars) are amongs the most powerful vessels in the Colonial Assassin's fleet.
