The Sawtooth Sword was a powerful cutlass used in close-quarters combat, and was the personal weapon of the infamous Captain Kidd.^[1]

The sword was found in an isolated ruin on Cozumel Island, which the Assassin Connor Kenway explored during the American Revolution. He obtained the weapon after he navigated the ruins where it was kept.^[2]

Trivia

The Sawtooth Sword had unique killing animations, similar to the Dagger of Brutus in Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, and Vlad Tepes' Sword in Assassin's Creed: Revelations.^[2]
The stats on this weapon are second only to the washington battle sword (replica). So as an easy early alternative it is advised to use this weapon as soon as you acquire it.
