Burgh Castle is an Anglo-Saxon castle near Norwich in the Kingdom of East Anglia. During the Viking expansion of the 9th Century, it was controlled by Rued

History

Around 873 CE Eivor led a large assault on the castle which resulted in the defeat of Rued and freeing of Oswald of East Anglia.
