Book quests
- Main article: The Polo Symbols
After completing the memory "Signs And Symbols, Part I," Ezio Auditore found the following books scattered throughout Constantinople with his Eagle Sense.
- The Canterbury Tales by Geoffrey Chaucer.
- The Travels of Marco Polo by Marco Polo.
- One Thousand and One Nights by Unknown.
- The Book of Kings by Ferdowsi.
- Nibelungenlied by Unknown.
- Iliad by Homer.

After finding and purchasing all the books, a cutscene involving the bookshop owner Sofia Sartor and Ezio Auditore was unlocked at the Assassin hideout.
Maps
Maps revealing the locations of the treasure chests in Constantinople and Cappadocia could also be bought, as well as a map revealing the locations of Ishak Pasha's Memoir Pages.
∞25 Animus data fragments needed to be collected to buy this map.
Trivia
- Book Shops and books replaced the functions of Art Merchants and paintings from Assassin's Creed II and Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood.
- The achievement, "Sage" could be earned by obtaining every book available in Constantinople and Cappadocia.
