Philippus Aureolus Theophrastus Bombastus von Hohenheim (11 November or 17 December 1493 in Einsiedeln – 24 September 1541 in Salzburg) was a Renaissance physician, botanist, alchemist, astrologer, and general occultist.[1]

He was secretly a member of the Assassin Order. In 1520, he was visited by his fellow Assassin Giovanni Borgia, who had just returned from México. He brought Bombastus one of the Crystal Skulls to study. They couldn't find out how the artifact worked, until Bombastus brought it together with a certain book. Borgia was revelated with symbols and wrote these down, forming a formula for the Philosopher's stone.[2]
