Date of Birth: Unknown.
Little is known about this prolific author of entertaining novels (termed "penny dreadfuls" in popular parlance). He appears to have done a fair amount of amateur sleuthing, and his first-class mind and investigative instincts are evident in his stories, which are based on local murders he found intriguing.
(Finding local murders intriguing is in no way concerning. Absolutely not.)
His books were printed under the auspices of Purlock Publishing, which appears to have produced few other titles.
