"A sleek stone of glossy black sheen, rich and smooth as midnight oil."
―Animus description of polished jet.[src]
Jet

Jet is a precious stone which is related to coal, but is hard and resistant enough to be worked on. It is best known from the expression "jet-black", used to mean 'very black' or the 'blackest black'.

History[edit | edit source]

During the Reconquista, the Spanish Brotherhood of Assassins used jet in order to create various pieces of armor.[1]
