Russell Lees (1957 – 2022) wrote The Tyranny of King Washington and the single-player side-missions in Assassin's Creed: Unity. He also contributed to Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag.

The Isu character Rah Cel'eze was added to Assassin's Creed: Valhalla in tribute to him and Assassin's Creed: Mirage is dedicated to Lees' memory.
